Kantorei, the Singing Boys of Rockford (USA)



Kantorei is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization which serves boys ages 7-18 in the northern Illinois area. It was founded in 1964 by Linden Lundstrom(1913-1996). Joel Ross has been Music Director since 1988.
A three-tiared program, KANTOREI consists of approximately 90 members representing Rockford and many surrounding communities within a 40-mile radius. The Performing Choir is made up of 5th through 12tth grade students. The Cadet Choir and Training Choir are comprised of 2nd through 5th graders and occasionally older students needing further skill development.













KANTOREI has performed with a wide variety of local ensembles including the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Bach Chamber Academy and many other professional singers and instrumentalists.
