Gintarèlis (Lithuania)
In 1963 Rimantas Zdanavicius founded a boys and youth choir Klaipeda. In 1966 the choir was given the name of "Gintarèlis" (it means a small piece of amber).Since 1985 the choir has been led by Juozas Kubilius.
Enlisted to the training course in choral singing are boys six to seven years of age. During the first 2 years they sing in the preparatory group, at the age of 9-14 they perform in the boys and mixed choirs and at the age of 15 and over they sing in youth and mixed choirs. Each of these age groups prepares individual cocertprograms.
The choir has given concerts in Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Belarus and Germany. It also took part in international festivals in France, Slovakia, Italy and Spain.
The choir takes part in every National Song Festival.

Florida Boychoir (USA)
The Florida Boychoir was founded in 1986 by Brian L. Collar. The first rehearsel was held in Seminole, Florida in January 1987 with an original membership of only 8 choirboys.
Since that time the Choirboys have made recordings and appeared on radio and television in the US and Canada. They have toured throughout Florida, to 16 other states and internationally to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Iceland and Poland.
The Florida Boychoir has to its credit performances of hundreds of folk, spiritual and classical. Works of Britten, Bach, Schubert, Wade and many others. Operas performed include Bizet's Carmen, Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, Williamson's The Happy Prince and Gilbert and Sullivan's Mikado.The Choirboys were selected tto perform in the Broadway production of "Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" by Lloyd Webber.

Ealing Abbey Choir (UK)
The Ealing Abbey Choir is a choir for boys and men's voices, founded by Dom Cyril Rylance in 1908. It is an amateur choir with several professional singers as regular members. The choir sings every Sunday in the Abbey Church at the 10.30am High Mass and on major feasts of the church and gives occasional concerts.

Dagilèlis (Lithuania)
Dagilèlis is one of the most prominent choirs in Lithuania. Each year Dagilèlis holds a number of concerts in various towns in Lithuania and abroad. The young singers rejoice the hearts of the audience by their perfect performances, emotonality and their vibrant sounding voices.
The choir, founded in 1965, has toured Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Russia, Estonia and Belarus. They have participated in several festivals and the International Sacral Music Project "Pax et bonum".
The choir has won prizes on several choir competitions in Germany, Italy and other countries.

California Boys'Choir (USA)
The California Boys Choir was formed in 1968 by Douglas Neslund as a Masters Thesis project in conjunction with his studies in choral music at the University of Southern California. Since then Mr. Neslund has refined and dev eloped his vocal instruction techniques for boys'voices to the point where his approach is tryly "world class'', the standard for America. His methods enable a boy to continue singing through the period of voice change into manhood's tenor or bass. |
